DSS takes the stage at two major

industry events this November

This November, Dutch Sensor Systems will be present at two important industry events for the very first time: the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2026 in Barcelona, and the GTL Beurs in Hilversum, The Netherlands.

SCEWC 2026 - Barcelona - SCEWC is the world's leading event dedicated to cities and urban innovation, bringing together decision-makers, technology providers, and urban planners from around the globe. GTL 2026 - Hilversum - The GTL Beurs is a key gathering for the Dutch geo, technology, and location intelligence community. Dutch Sensor Systems nominated for

'Company of the Year' Almere

Dutch Sensor Systems receives ERDF-co-financed innovation grant

June 2026

Dutch Sensor Systems has received a grant through Kansen voor West III, co-financed by the European Union via the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), in support of our Listen for Life project.

With Listen for Life, we will build on our existing autonomous acoustic sensor technology to develop a scalable monitoring and evidence infrastructure for municipalities, infrastructure managers and industrial operators that need continuous, structured and reliable insight into environmental noise.

The project marks an important next step: from separate noise measurements and monitoring deployments towards continuous, comparable and auditable sound data that helps organisations understand what is happening, where it is happening, and how it develops over time.

The grant coincides with a recent private investment round. Both are directed at the same goal: strengthening the technology, scaling the organisation and increasing the number of real-world deployments.

"Public and private financing reinforce each other here in a very direct way. The grant supports the further development of the technology and evidence base. The investment helps us scale the organisation, strengthen delivery capacity and bring our existing acoustic monitoring solutions to more real-world deployments."

In this short conversation, Han Wassink explains how Dutch Sensor Systems is helping cities and industry move from incidental measurements to continuous, scalable acoustic intelligence.

Urban noise is widely recognised as a public health and regulatory challenge. Better decisions require more than isolated measurements. They require reliable, continuous and fine-grained data that supports enforcement, permitting and evidence-based policy decisions. Our work focuses on making that insight scalable and usable through wireless, low-maintenance monitoring infrastructure and intuitive software.
